The Dragon Boats are Back!

Join us on September 9th for a day of fun.

The Dragon Boat Races are back and more exciting than ever! Whether you’re on a team, cheering for a paddler or just ready for a fantastic festival—the 12th Biennial Dragon Boat Races are a sure-fire fun day. Make your way to Baltimore’s Inner Harbor to be part of the unique and thrilling competition. Races will kick off in the morning, with the nearly two dozen teams competing. Following the awards ceremony, even more fun awaits. At the harbor’s West Shore Park, a lively festival will feature food and drink vendors, live music, a children’s section, and other excitement.

Dragon Boat Races

Boats will clash from morning until early afternoon. Come cheer them on.

Since 1998, the Catholic Charities Dragon Boat Races have lit up the Inner Harbor for this battle of the boats. Some of the area’s most philanthropic businesses build teams and practice eight weeks for the big event. September 9 is showtime!

12pm-5pm

Festival

Music, food and fun for all. Enjoy free entertainment in the race atmosphere.

Positioned at the harbor’s West Shore Park, the festival will feature food and drink vendors, live music, a children’s section and booths from Catholic Charities with activities. Join the fun from 12pm-5pm. It’s a post-race party!

Parking Details

Charles Street, Key Highway & Light Street (south of Conway Street) should be avoided between 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. noon, but especially between 8:30–9:30 a.m.

The races and festival will be located at Baltimore’s Inner Harbor. If you plan to park in the area, here are some suggested garages.
